- Lake Mead Boat Owners Assocation (LMBOA) – The Lake Mead Boat Owners Association was established in 1975 by a few dedicated boaters to preserve and protect boating enjoyment on Lake Mead. Since then LMBOA members have effectively worked together to accomplish these goals. LMBOA is an active group whose members meet once a month, to plan and pursue activities which will benifit the safety, welfare and enjoyment of all users of Lake Mead. LMBOA is the organization that has done the most for Lake Mead in recent years.

- The National Safe Boating Council, Inc. (NSBC) was organized in September 1958 under the name National Safe Boating Committee. The NSBC presently has a membership of over 300 U.S. and Canadian organizations, all with an interest in boating safety and education. The mission of the NSBC is to reduce accidents and enhance the boating experience.

- Nevada Department of Wildlife is the state agency responsible for the restoration and management of fish and wildlife resources, and the promotion of boating safety on Nevada’s waters. NDOW has responsibility for the wildlife resources and enforcement of the wildlife and boating safety laws on 109,894 square miles of land, 667 square miles of water and 529 streams that flow 2,750 miles.
