Stand-up paddleboarding has gained popularity in the recent years as more and more people have discovered how much fun they can have getting a good work out on the water. Suitable for people of all ages, this is a great individual or group activity for families looking to get out doors and make some memories.

Explore the shoreline and islands near Lake Mead Marina. Paddleboards are built for 1 person each. Launched from the marina dock, there is no trailering or beach launching. We make it easy to get started and start your new adventure. After making it to the shore, cool off with a swim in the water, watch for the desert wildlife in the area.

Desert wildlife around the marinas includes – Birds of flight include; Great Blue Hearings, Seagulls, Coots, Canadian Geese, and ducks of different varieties throughout the year. In the water don’t miss the Red Eared Slider turtles, soft backed turtles, carp, Striped Bass, Channel catfish, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Talipa, large Grass Shad and more. On the land watch for Coyotes, Jack Rabbits, Cottontail Bunny Rabbits, Roadrunners, Lizards, Red Racers, Rattlesnakes, and Ground Chipmunks. If you are lucky you might even spot a Big Horn Sheep.

The Gripentog family has been the sole owners and operators of the Las Vegas Boat Harbor since 1957. Las Vegas Boat Harbor and Lake Mead Marina are located in the Hemenway Harbor and has the distinction of being the world’s largest privately owned marina. Marina visitors will also find two restaurants and bars along with two marina stores carrying all the essentials including picnic supplies, maps, souvenirs and more.

A variety of power boats and waverunner jetskis are also available for rental.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF KAYAK & STAND-UP PADDLE BOARD RENTALS

  • All rentals are on condition of weather.
  • Rental hours begin at 8:00am, return time varies with the season.
  • Lessee of each unit must be 18 years of age.
  • Minors 17 years of age or younger must have a parent or legal guardian complete rental contract and release waiver.
  • Children will not be allowed to participate without a signature of parent or legal guardian.
  • US residents – Valid automobile drivers License or ID Required
  • International Residents – Valid automobile drivers License Required or ID Required
  • All rentals are restricted to South side of the Boulder Islands to Promontory Point.
  • Life jackets must be worn at all times by participants as required by the National Park Service.
  • Participants must meet the following physical requirements.
  • Participants must be able to swim.
  • Fit into Life Jacket with a maximum chest size of 60 inches.
  • Enough agility to lower yourself into a kayak and hoist yourself out of the water back onto vessel.
  • Hours plus security deposit required at the time of rental.
  • One hour minimum payment required on all kayak and paddle board rentals.
  • Max weight on kayaks 500 pounds per manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Max weight on stand-up paddle boards 220 pounds per manufacturers specifications.
  • No overnight rentals.
  • Rentals must be returned in same condition.
  • Cleaning & service charges may apply.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • Prices subject to change.
